Tiger Fight Series set to explode this weekend

Scott Sheeley and Iron Tiger Fight Series is set to go this weekend with a 16 bout card and broadcast live on GFL.tv.

IT Fight Series 40 main event will crown a new amateur heavyweight title holder when Paul Shough (3-1) takes on Cody Kelley (4-1) in the main event!

Kelly is coming off a great win over IT’s own Aaron Garrett last September at IT Fight Series 36 in Lima, Ohio. Kelley started his career at 3-0 before suffering his first lost against Lionel Woods in April of 2014. Kelley will be entering the IT cage for his 4th time and hasn’t tasted defeat yet in there.

Shough will be stepping in the cage Jan 30th to take the IT Fight Series belt home with him. This will not be far because he will be in his hometown of Bellefontaine, Ohio. Starting off his career Shough was defeated in his first fight in March of 2014. Shough would bounce back and real off 3 straight victories in a row including his last victory at IT Fight Series 38 in Dayton when he put away Justin Richwine quickly with a TKO.

Heavyweights will also throw down in the co-main event, as Justin Richwine (3-3) looks to bounce back from the loss to Shough against Connor Hina (3-2). All three of Richwine’s wins have come in under a minute, including a rear naked choke win over Mesmaran Sunseray at IT Fight Series 35 last September.

Hina returns to the cage for the first time since 2013, when he dropped a bout to Tyler Bostick in his last outing. A win here could set up a rematch against Isaac Hook, who called him out after topping Garrett at IT Fight Series 39 in December.

Also set to be in action ins 18-year-old Team Ascension product Anthony Romero (2-1), who welcomes Brian Shoffner (4-1) back to the cage after a layoff of almost six years. He last competed at UVC 9 in 2010, when he was submitted by Blane Bailey in the second round.

The women will also be in action, as Candy Hogsett (0-0) makes her debut against Megan Wallace (1-0).
